Day 01: Arrive Ho Chi Minh City

You will be welcomed by your guide on arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City. From there, you will be taken to your hotel and then begin your private tour of the city. Ho Chi Minh City is the largest and busiest city in Vietnam, with a population of 7 million people. Much of daily life takes place on the streets, which are lined with shops, stalls and vendors with their wares spread out on the footpaths. You will have the chance to see the bustling Ben Thanh Market, the War Remnants Museum, the Reunification Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral. You will then enjoy a fantastic dinner at local a restaurant, before retiring for the evening.

Day 02: Mekong Delta Excursion

The Mekong Delta is the southernmost region of Vietnam and is often referred to as the rice bowl of Vietnam because of the epic amount of rice grown there each year. The fertile delta is also famous for its tropical fruits and flowers which grow around the water ways. Today, you will leave HCMC and travel to the lush lands of My Tho, where you will cruise on a private boat through the green vegetation lining the canals. You will stop at an orchard, where you will be treated to a delicious lunch in a local restaurant. You can also visit the snake farm, Dong Tam, which breeds snakes for (among other things) snake wine. You will then return to HCMC for an overnight stay.

Day 03: Cao Dai Temple & Cu Chi Tunnels

Next up is an excursion to the Cao Dai Temples, home of the Divine Eye which is the official symbol of Caodaism. Cao Dai followers worship Jesus Christ, Confucius, Taoism, and Buddha. You will be able to observe the midday service, followed by lunch and then a drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels which are made up of more than 200km of underground tunnels. They were used as by the Viet Cong to defeat the South Vietnam and American troops and feature an incredible maze of tunnels, rooms and trap doors all spread over different levels. You will have the chance to experience the extreme conditions of the claustrophobic tunnels as you make your way into part of the system. After, you will head back to HCMC where you stay the night.

Day 04: Ho Chi Minh departure

Today you will have free time to explore they dynamic and vibrant city as you wish before your return flight.
